Portrait painter Eva Vorfeld is especially known for her pastel-drawings on colored paper.

"By preference I work from the observation. Sometimes I have to use the photography in connection with practical circumstances: children who could not sit
quietly, adults who were too busy. I find it important to learn know the portrayed really well during posing sessions. The use of the photographs offers me other possibilities: In the pose of the model and in the quietness in which I can work. I love to combine drawing with painting. (This I find in the pastel). I work also with oil paint, water color and inks."
